Britax ISOFIX car seats
Probably the biggest and best known manufacturers of
child safety seats is Britax, who have one of the largest range
of ISOFIX car seats for babies and toddlers. Here is the range
of seats available along with information on their functions and
benefits.

Cosy Tot Premium Infant Carrier |
Group 0+ Suitable from birth to 13kg (approx. 0-12 months).
As well as being compatible with most Britax Travel Systems,
so you can change from car to pram easily, the Cost Tot Premium
has all the convenient functions and safety features you need.
It can be used with or without the Britax ISOFIX base unit which
is sold as a separate item (see below).

ISOFIX Base Unit |
Group 0+ Suitable from birth to 13kg (approx. 0-12 months).
The Britax ISOFIX base unit (which is sold as a separate item)
provides a simple 'Click and Go' attachment of the Cosy Tot Premium,
and anchors the child seat directly to your car. It folds compactly
for easy storage when not in use and has a 'Rebound Bar' which
ensures a more secure fit and helps reduce movement for a safer
ride. Latch Guides are provided to protect your cars upholstery
and the front 'Foot Prop' gives greater stability. However, as
we have mentioned before a foot prop is not suitable for

Duo Plus ISOFIX |
Group 1 Suitable from 9kg to 18kg (approx. 9 months to 4 years).
Probably one of the best know car seats in the ISOFIX range is
the Duo Plus. It has a Universal approval (when used with a top-tether
strap) and Semi-Universal without. The Duo Plus can be installed
using either a 3 point vehicle harness or the ISOFIX points. The
seat uses a simple push-click operation and patented 'pivot link
system' which is designed to limit the amount of forward movement
within the seat in the event of an accident. With a one-pull,
height adjustable headrest and harness, softly padded side wings
for maximum side impact protection, harness retainers which make
it easy to get your child in and out of the seat and 3 recline
positions, it makes a great Group 1 seat.

Explora ISOFIX |
Group 1 Suitable from 9kg to 18kg (approx. 9 months to 4 years).
A Semi-Universal approved seat with improved side impact protection,
a front 'Foot Prop' and Britax's patented 'pivot link system'
which is designed to limit the amount of forward movement within
the seat in the event of an accident. The Explora can be installed
using either a 3 point vehicle harness or the ISOFIX points. Safety
features include a 5 point harness with easy one pull adjustment,
adjustable headrest and the 'Safe Strap' mechanism which gives
you a visual indication when your child is safely secured. For
comfort there are 4 recline positions for a comfortable ride,
soft touch, breathable fabrics and flexible padding, and harness
retainers which make it easy to get your child in and out of the
seat.

Evolva 23 ISOFIT |
Group 2-3 Suitable from 15kg to 36kg (approx. 4 years to 11
years).
A very safe and comfortable seat with a recline facility and
the unique Britax ISOFIT system, which anchors the child seat
directly to the car for superior protection. Your child is secured
using your car's seat belt, however, the shape of the Evolva 23
ISOFIT correctly positions the lap belt low over your child’s
pelvis whilst the belt guides position the diagonal belt safely
and comfortably over your child’s shoulder.
The Britax Evolva 23 ISOFIT has gained semi-universal approval
when fitted with ISOFIX fittings, but the seat can also be safely
fitted in many cars without ISOFIX fittings, using just a lap
and diagonal seat belt. When secured in the vehicle with ISOFIX
the seat can recline for a more comfortable ride, and there is
also no need to strap the seat in when not in use. The ISOFIX
fittings will keep the seat fixed firmly so it will not slide
around loose in your car.
